BabyJake’s “Confidant” marks his fourth single release in his professional music career, and let me just say, he did it once again. The combination of the classic electric guitar with a catchy alternative style makes this a true hit. This song will make you smile with its creative lyrics and foot-tapping beat. Overall, it’s a great song to listen to when you need some upbeat vibes in your life.

After gaining popularity following the release of their last album Nothing Happens Wallows put out a hit single “OK”. This song embodies not only teenage uncertainty and insecurities during certain times, but offers a lighthearted message to get back up. The uplifting track motivates me, so give it a listen if you’re feeling down.

Outside of the Evanstonian, I love to draw, listen to music, and play sports. I am always busy and you can see me frequently jumping from place to place. Hi! My name is Sophie Yang (she/her) and this year I am a senior. This is my fourth year on staff and I am currently the Arts and Entertainment Editor. I love the energy and passion within the Evanstonian community and how it has allowed me to connect with people all over the school and greater Evanston community. I also love how the Evanstonian provides a place for me to write and explore my interests in film and media. Beyond the Evanstonian I’m involved with Science Olympiad, Peer Conference Club, EMERGE, and Asian Heritage Alliance. I love to play the piano, travel, and spend time with my friends and family.
