Our Goal
Your donation will support the student journalists of the Evanstonian. We are planning a big trip to the Journalism Educators Association conference in Nashville in November 2025, and any support will go towards making that trip a reality. About the Contributors

Ethan Ravi, Editor-in-Chief
Hi! My name is Ethan Ravi. I’m a senior, and this year I’m the Editor-in-Chief and the host of Competin’/Eatin’ with Ethan. This is my fourth year on staff, previously I was the News Editor and Resident Food Critic (junior year), the Assistant News Editor (sophomore year), and a staff writer (freshman year). I love leading the Evanstonian because I get to work with our wonderful staff to tell important Evanston stories while pushing my creativity media-wise. Outside of the paper, I play tennis for the ETHS team, work at a local tennis shop, compete on the Math Team and participate in peer tutoring. In my free time, I enjoy reading, seeing friends and family, playing the piano and drinking coffee.

Sam Froum, Print Executive Editor
Hi, I’m Sam Froum (he/him) and I’m an Executive Print Editor. This is my fourth year on staff. Previously I was a staff writer, assistant editor of A&E and section editor of A&E and Photo/Art. I write for the Evanstonian because it helps me become a better writer and provides opportunities for collaboration with other students. At ETHS, I also run cross country and track and participate in Wildkit Buddies. Outside of school, I like to draw, run and watch TV.

Mack Jones, Website Editor
Hi! My name is Mack Jones, and I’m a Website Editor this year for The Evanstonian. This is my third year on staff, and previously, I have been Opinion Editor, Digital Editor, and Podcast Editor. (I was fired from all three.) This year I am eager to build the future of the paper by teaching my facilities to the next generation and ameliorating the website’s design. Beyond The Evanstonian, I play piano, guitar, and for the ETHS varsity tennis and badminton teams. I also volunteer as a referee for AYSO and am in a book group led by my incredible mom.
