As part of the ETHS Social Consciousness Series, ETHS will be holding the 2025 Latinx Student Summit on Wednesday, April 16. Along with the MENAA and Black Student Summits, the Latinx Student Summit will surround the overarching idea of In Lak’ech, which is a Mayan philosophy that translates to you are my other me. Like the other summits part of the Social Consciousness Series, the summit will facilitate conversations surrounding affinity and race, and will also provide a space to celebrate Latinx culture.
The Latinx Summit was first held almost 10 years ago in 2016, and gathered more than 200 students; since then, ETHS has invited a number of notable Latinx speakers and guests each year. The annual summit is a space for attendees to connect and share productive dialogue with other Latinx students.
The summit will take place in the ETHS campus all day; a number of racial affinity spaces and workshops will be held in varying locations throughout the school. Those interested in attending must register in advance; the registration link will be posted and e-mailed in the weeks leading up to the summit.
