Badminton – Monica Hill
“The badminton program at ETHS has provided me with the opportunity to meet so many amazing girls, learn teamwork skills and become great at a sport while having so much fun.”
Baseball – Noah Leib
“Evanston Baseball transcends a team, a program or a sport. I feel similarly about leaving it as I do my home because it’s where I acquired so many of the values that I will have for the rest of my life: patience, discipline, effort, hard work and leadership. #nationlove”
Boys Basketball – DeVaughn Bell
“Basketball meant everything to me, because it helped me keep my grades up and stay active. Everybody on the team is sad and upset because we had goals, and a state championship was one of them; it just sucks it had to end this way.”
Girls Basketball – Kayla Henning
“Evanston girls basketball has given me four years of exposure to a family I will have forever. I am grateful for the support of the community as well. “
Boys Bowling – Zev Grodzin
“Bowling at ETHS taught me a lot of life skills and gave me a platform to succeed at school and feel like I can be good at anything.”
Girls Bowling – Asya Wright
“I’m really grateful for all of the lessons I’ve learned and the amazing friends I’ve made through bowling.”
Cheer – Mia Testa
“During cheer, I met almost all of my best friends and now that the season is officially over it’s really sad that I wont get to ever goof around with the team again.”
Boys Cross Country – Jack Rutstein
“Evanston boys cross country has molded me into a student, leader and athlete that I’m proud to present every day. It taught me what patience, trust and dedication looks and feels like. I began far from the varsity squad. The trust that the coaches gave me as I improved was one that I did my best to repay, vowing to help mentor every single young athlete on the team.”
Girls Cross Country – Hannah Lipman
“My overall experience with high school sports was amazing; ETHS gave me a place where I could spend time with my best friends and work towards becoming a better person and athlete. Some of my best high school memories are from cross country and track, and I love that I can take those with me forever.”

Boys hockey – Charlie Rodriguez
“Evanston hockey has created bonds and taught me lessons that I will take with me to the next stage of my life.”
Boys Lacrosse – Jack Sload
“Being on the lacrosse team has taught me the importance of perseverance and grit. I’m excited to take these skills to college level lacrosse.”
Girls Lax – Julia English
“From four years of being a part of the girls varsity lacrosse team, I’ve learned that season isn’t just about playing the game, it’s about friendship, leadership, hard work, pushing each other to be the best version of yourself and holding each other accountable. It forces you to learn the habits of your teammates and that makes you really close. At the end of the day, it’s never about winning or losing, it’s recognizing that you played your hardest together. Nothing compares to the feeling of being on the field with people you trust, and knowing they’ve got your back.”

“Pomkits gave me the best high school experience, it taught me things that I will use forever.”

Girls Soccer – Callista O’Connor
“ETHS soccer taught me school spirit and what it means to have pride in your school.”
Softball – Molly Chambers
“The coaches have taught me to trust myself no matter the situation, and showed me that playing loose and having fun does not mean you’re any less of a player.”
Boys Swim & dive – Brendan Long
“I have had such a great time as a member of this team. Everyone is so supportive, dedicated, and spirited, and they make swimming fun. The coaches do a great job of supporting us and making sure we’re ready for the end of the season. It felt so rewarding to final at state this year, but I couldn’t have done it without this great group of guys.”
