Simone Jacot-Bell, Staff Writer

Hi! My name is Simone Jacot-Bell (she/her). I am a senior, and a writer for the Opinion section. This is my first year on staff, and I am so excited to be a part of such an amazing team of writers! After my experience at the School of New York Times program, I became extremely passionate about journalism. Uncovering issues and giving people voices through writing is a passion of mine, and I hope to pursue it after high school within my career. I am an active member of Students Organized Against Racism at ETHS, and I also take part in the ETHS theatre arts program. I work at Campagnola restaurant in Evanston, and I love to read, bake, listen to music, and watch reality TV shows during my free time. I also think it is essential to note that I am the biggest Beyonce fan you’ll ever come across, so if anyone has any Beyonce related questions – I’m your girl!
