Maia Roothaan

Maia Roothaan, Staff Writer

My name is Maia Roothaan, and I am currently a sophomore and staff writer for the features section of The Evanstonian. I am passionate about both creative and journalistic writing, and want to continue to improve in both of those disciplines this year. I love writing because I am able to share the stories of others that often aren’t heard. I am also involved in many other clubs including TeamASAP, WiSTEM, Community Service Club, Emerge Leadership program, Student Ambassadors, and playing clarinet in band. I plan on joining Writers Workshop and the BooksRUS book club.
