Nakaiya Bias, Staff Writer

My name is Nakaiya Bias, and I’m a sophomore at ETHS. I’m excited to be participating in editing/ writing The Evanstonian! I have a few interests outside of the Newspaper such as poetry, reading, dancing, and traveling. Last year, I won the E-Town Idol award for Spoken Word poetry. I was handed my first newspaper as a 10 year old, and since then have been obsessed with the comics and the current event section. Sometimes, I’d read the current events section to help me with writing poetry. I’m so happy to be a part of such a hardworking organization and will hope that this upcoming year will be one to remember.
